Über mich : I don't care what the teams are, what the league is, or how important the match (except the World Cup - of course...). If there's a game on I'll watch it. Often to be accompanied by the girlfriend screaming in my ear to explain the offside rule. But, hey, it's all atmosphere baby!!!

Back in the old days there was a time when Newcastle United was a serious contender for the top title in English League football. It was the 92/93 season and all we had to do was hold off the scummy Mancs (you know who you are ;)). It was a dream setup, points in hand, sailing clear at the top... surely it would take a disaster to lose at this stage. But the impossible happened..... To be continued...
... Cont'd...It came down to the final game of the season, and, correct me if i'm wrong avid followers, but Man U had to win their final game by three goals and Newcastle lose by two. Regardless of the lengthy odds (certainly lengthly should you have reversed back five games), the Mancs did it. Now, some 15 years later we have one piece of silverware to our name - surely you've all heard of the magnificent Intertoto cup... To be Continued...
...Cont'd... - a buyers bill of £220M, a sacked former chairman and a new manager accredited with the recent and ongoing success of Bolton (I might add on a budget that rivals the makers of "The Breakfast Club"). So, fingers crossed for everyone's favourite second team, so long as we continue to best the "Maccams" i'm a happy man!!! end... Thanks for reading!!! :)

Interessen

I love the outdoors life, walking up mountains, cycling and running. Also starting to read a lot, in particular science based non-fiction.... never thought that would happen!!! But, my time is mainly spent DIY'ing and cooking after work, with the odd day out every other weekend or so.

Musik

Lots of great music around at the moment. But, i'm a life-long Pink Floyd fan, so perhaps i'm not the best judge of what's good out there right now!!! Really enjoying "The Stereophoics", "The Killers", "Guns 'n' Roses" (still listening after all this time), "Green Day" "U2" and "Kings of Leon". I'm getting on a bit now, so if I can understand the words and the singer's trousers stay up around their waist they're fine by me ;)

I'm fairly well travelled, so i'm going to change this a bit to "Places i'd like to live". It would take a lot to leave my home in South Wales (mainly because it's pretty fantastic here), but if I had the choice, i'd opt for New York or Florida.

Bevorzugte andere Sportarten

I'll watch pretty much anything (except F1... really don't get that at all). I Love playing Volleyball, Cricket and tennis. Not too bad at Table Tennis, Table Football and Darts.... but i'm not sure they count really.
